International patients
Planning treatment in India from abroad.
India has a large hospital network and specialists across most fields of medicine. Getting from a diagnosis at home to the right consultant in India, with the right documents, a visa, somewhere to stay and someone to call, is the hard part. Carehorizon Health coordinates that journey from your first enquiry to your return home, and keeps you informed at every step about what is confirmed, what is pending and what it will cost.
What we coordinate
Before you travel
- Collecting and organising your medical records
- Sharing your case with suitable hospitals and specialists for review
- Treatment plans and cost estimates, presented side by side
- Video consultations where the hospital offers them
- Hospital invitation letters and documents for your medical visa
- Flights, airport arrival, accommodation and interpreters
While you are in India
- Airport meeting and transfer to your hotel or hospital
- Admission coordination, and a coordinator who visits and calls
- Interpreter arrangements
- Support for attendants: accommodation, local travel, practical help
- Updates to family at home at agreed times
When you go home
- Discharge documents and medical summaries for your doctor at home
- Fitness-to-fly confirmation from the treating doctor
- Return travel, with a medical escort or air ambulance where clinically required
- Coordination of follow-up consultations
From enquiry to return
- Enquiry. Tell us about the patient, the diagnosis and the treatment being considered.
- Records. We send you a secure link to upload medical reports. We do not ask you to email sensitive records.
- Case review by hospitals. With your consent, we share the records with hospitals suited to the case. Their specialists respond with an opinion, a proposed plan and an estimate.
- Your options in writing. We present the responses clearly, with the hospitals' estimates labelled as estimates.
- Visa and travel. Once you choose, the hospital issues an invitation letter, and we help you prepare the medical visa application and plan travel for you and your attendants.
- Arrival and treatment. We meet you at the airport, coordinate admission, and stay in contact throughout.
- Discharge and return. We arrange your discharge documents, return travel and follow-up with your doctor at home.

Read the guideQuestions international patients ask
Can you guarantee my visa?
No. Visa decisions are made by the Government of India. We help you prepare a complete application with the documents the hospital and the visa process require.
Are the treatment costs fixed?
Hospital estimates are estimates. Final costs depend on the treatment actually given and the length of stay. We show estimates and confirmed amounts separately and tell you if anything changes.
Who pays Carehorizon Health?
Usually the patient or family pays us for coordination. In some cases a hospital pays us instead. Either way, we tell you how we are paid before you decide, and it does not change the options we put in front of you.
Can my family come with me?
India issues a separate visa category for medical attendants travelling with a patient. Rules on numbers and eligibility apply, and we will explain them for your case.
How is my medical information protected?
Your records are uploaded through a secure link, seen only by the people working on your case, and shared with hospitals only with your consent. Our privacy notice explains this in full.
