International patients · Medical visa
Medical visas for treatment in India.
Patients travelling to India for treatment apply for a medical visa, and family members travelling with them apply for a medical attendant visa. For nationals of many countries, both are available online as an e-Medical Visa and an e-Medical Attendant Visa through the Government of India's official portal.
Eligibility, validity, the number of attendants and the documents required are set by the Government of India and can change. Always check the official e-Visa portal before applying, and apply only through official government channels.
What usually helps an application
- A letter from the treating hospital in India describing the proposed treatment
- Your passport, valid for the period the visa rules require
- Recent medical reports supporting the need for treatment
- Details of the attendants travelling with you
What we do
We coordinate the hospital letter, check that your documents are complete and consistent, and plan your travel around the visa timeline.
What we do not do
We do not apply on your behalf without your authorisation, and we cannot promise an outcome. Visa decisions are made by the Government of India.
This page is general information, not legal or immigration advice. Last checked against the official portal: October 2026.
