Air ambulance · Domestic
Moving a patient between Indian cities.
Families usually come to us in one of three situations: a patient needs a specialist or facility not available where they are; a patient treated away from home is ready to continue care in their home city; or someone taken ill while travelling in India needs to return. In each case we coordinate the sending hospital, the receiving hospital, the aircraft, ground ambulances and the family's own travel, and we confirm every handover in writing.
How a domestic transfer works
- Call the desk. Tell us where the patient is, where they need to go, and who the treating doctor is.
- Clinical review. With your consent, the treating hospital shares a medical summary. The transfer medical team reviews it and agrees the plan with the treating doctor.
- Receiving hospital. We confirm that the receiving hospital has accepted the patient and has a bed ready.
- Quotation and approval. You receive the plan and a written quotation. Nothing is booked until you approve.
- Transfer. Ambulance to the airport, flight, ambulance to the receiving hospital. Your coordinator updates the family at each stage.
- Handover. Clinical care passes to the receiving team, with the handover documents confirmed.

On the ground
Ambulances at both ends, timed to the flight.
From the sending ward to the aircraft and from the aircraft to the receiving ward, ground ambulances are arranged as part of the transfer and timed to the flight, so the patient is never waiting on a kerb or an apron.

Can the family travel with the patient?
Often one family member can fly with the patient, depending on the aircraft and the medical team. Where that is not possible, we arrange the family's travel to arrive at the receiving hospital at the right time.
Do you arrange the ambulances at both ends?
Yes. Ground ambulances from the sending hospital to the airport and from the airport to the receiving hospital are timed to the flight and arranged as part of the transfer.
What if the receiving hospital has not been chosen yet?
Tell us the city and the care the treating doctor recommends. We will help you identify hospitals that can accept the patient, and the choice stays with you and your doctors.
What does a domestic transfer cost?
It depends on the route, the aircraft, the medical team and the ground arrangements. You receive a written quotation for your case, with confirmed items and estimates shown separately, before anything is booked.
